			<description><![CDATA[It's just time to bring some life to our community again. Yes, we are back with the long-awaited update finally!<br />
It took us longer that we anticipated, but hell, we made it! Even though recent months were very tough for all of us.<br />
It's for the first media update since the <a href="http://www.moddb.com/mods/guardduty" target="_blank">Guard Duty</a> and <a href="http://www.moddb.com/mods/operation-black-mesa" target="_blank">Operation Black Mesa</a> merged into Tripmine Studios. For the first time, we are connecting our separate communities into one.<br />

The merge itself brought several challenges to the development process. It's brand new experience for us, as one development team focus on two projects at the same time. Being part of this is not easy for none of us.<br />
We were forced to perform many changes not just on the game's content, but our development process and PR. Unfortunately, all this stuff is happening during very busy period of our life, when part of us struggle with important exams or dealing with other real life matters. That's the reason for the update being delayed a lot.<br />

However, we should definitely be proud of ourselves! Regardless all the obstacles, we streamlined our development, OBM portion of the team utilized GD's team organization, we sorted most of the duplicated content and some on the top of that, we boosted quality on many models and textures. And we still proceed towards our goal, maybe slowly, but surely.<br />

As our community grows with each update, we are looking for new ways how to keep in touch with our fans. It's very time-consuming to produce big media updates, so we definitely need to keep you updated with small updates as well, just to assure you we still bare with you.<br />

We sincerely apologize for the lack of official announcement in regards of the website matters. However, there is no reason to panic! We will be launching brand new websites for Guard Duty and Operation Black Mesa on new domain, so stay tuned!<br />
<br />
And on the final note, I have to mention that we are looking for new talents who would help us with the development! Please take the fact<span style="color: #FF0000;"><span style="font-weight: bold;"> we are not offering paid positions into consideration.</span></span><br />

Our team is looking for level designers, who have experiences with building multiplayer and/or singleplayer maps.<br />
You should have more than one year of experiences with Hammer and be able to build optimized and detailed maps.<br />

<span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-size: medium;">MODELER:</span></span><br />
<br />
We are looking for modelers who will supply us with various models ranging from props, weapons to organics.<br />
You should be able to create detailed, clean and optimized models, including UVWs and textures.<br />

Other positions:</span></span><br />
<br />
We are also looking for people to fill other positions. Whatever you are texture artist, particle artists or coder, as long as you are dedicated and passionate person, you are the one we are looking for!<br />

I am 18 and am currently studying a Bachelor of Interactive Entertainment Majoring in games programming. I have been coding for over 3 years but haven't been active lately cause of school. moving on to past works.... I'm in the OpLam team. Most of my source work has been done in there, (ill be honest it ain't much) so I dunno how confidential it all is (ya know leaks and shit). But to sum it up I have created a GUI map list menu, made the crossbow bolts explode (again), made a cannon of lasers ect ect.<br />

Now I am half way through the C++ side of my course at college, I have learnt a great deal of the 'gaps' I missed in my self teaching. So I expect to be better at doing what ever needs to be done. (bug checking /fixing is my forte)<br />

basically because I want to take up this hobby more often.<br />

			<description><![CDATA[Hello fellow mod developers. My name is Karl August K. and currently work for Operation Lambda. I don't have all of my free time packed so I thought, why not apply for Guard Duty? And here I am.<br />
Since you do not have an application layout, I'm going to hijack the one from Operation Lambda.<br />

<span style="font-weight: bold;">Q: Why do you want to join this mod as a developer?</span><br />
A: Because I like to make 3D animations and I really like Half-Life games. My main goal is to get experience from this and of course, get better at this job.<br />

<span style="font-weight: bold;">Q: What are your skills and how do you intend to use them to help this mod?</span><br />
A: I am said to be pretty good at 3D animation. Not as good as professionals though. I am sad to say that I can not yet rig (other than weapons onto already existing hands rig), but I will try to learn as soon as possible. I haven't been able to get together with my tutor for this. I'm not very good at third person animations yet either (edit: at least not humans). I shall use my skills to... This is a silly question. To make 3D animations for the mod of course.<br />

			<description><![CDATA[Hi everyone, my name is The Comedian and I’m the level designer of Uplink - which was originally a demo for Half-Life, but is now an extra chapter in Guard Duty.<br />
I will now give you guys some information about Uplink and some media as well.<br />
When I joined Guard Duty, the team gave me the big task to remake uplink in the source engine. At first I was a bit surprised because I thought I would work on remaking Blue Shift. So I said to mr. sugar “well, no problem. I'll remake uplink and then afterwards I can start then with the real stuff like blue shift?”. He said "first work on uplink. We will talk later about other maps”. So for now I’m still working on uplink.<br />
<br />
Please don’t underestimate this mission. This extra needs a lot of fresh models, textures, sounds, redesign, ideas,… (for the geeks I had 3 predecessors and they all failed).<br />
<br />
Now I can give you some progress of the whole mission<br />
Uplink part1: orange mapping is almost done<br />

No stop crying I got something for you. It’s a concept art of a combat scene from Killuh. Can you guess the place?<br />
